What’s included in online reputation screening?

Our AI-driven searches rapidly process thousands of data streams and present results that include one of the following risk indicators:

Do you review positive behaviour as well?

Absolutely. We can confirm the suitability of a candidate for our clients and the report includes positive indicators such as charitable work and volunteering.

How long do social media background checks take?

We can turnaround social media reports within 48 hours.

What is the minimum amount of information you need?

For social media screening, we only require the typical information you would find on a candidate’s CV. A full name, personal email, mobile phone number and some employment history.

Are social media background checks GDPR compliant?

Yes. All our checks are GDPR compliant.

Is the depth of report “reasonable” as required by the Regulations?

Yes. The FCA expect any information in the public domain to be known by the employer. In the event of a breach, a lack of knowledge would be hard to defend.

While I need to manage risk/comply with SMCR/improve cultural fit, I don’t want to be intrusive…

We do not report on protected characteristics or have a bias in our process. However, it is extraordinary how much publicly available information is ‘out there’ and we uncover that to give you a full picture.

Can’t I just conduct these checks myself?

When conducting social media background checks in-house, you expose yourself to claims of bias because you cannot “unsee” any protected characteristic information. Using an independent expert third party is more consistent, faster and compliant.
